The Wingham Bantam Rep team headed to Hanover October 20th for the 2nd game of the season.  Taking too many penalties against a strong Hanover team led to a 5-1 defeat.  Winghams' lone goal was scored by Jordan Pham halfway through the third.

Oct 22nd saw the team come out to play against the TCDMHA Rebels and Les Irvine, with a beautiful Dangle, put Wingham on the board with an assist to Maison Nesbitt.  Forward Colton Dunn working hard at the net put in the 2nd goal with an assist to Hoskins.  In a back and forth second period the Rebels scored twice but again Wingham fought back with Hoskins deeking the goalie to close out the period 3-2 with an assist to Spencer Green.  The Rebels tied it up halfway through the 3rd but with strong defensive play and hard back checking by Jack Reidy and Logan Hemeon the Rebels were kept out of our end.  Late in the 3rd Dustin Robertson chipped one in for a 4-3 win another assist to Hoskins.
Game 3 was in Shallow Lake and this was a well matched fast paced game.  Sam Marston had a great game backstopping the boys as there were a lot of shots on net.  the opposing team scored twice in the first period but Wingham did not let up and a very determined Maison Nesbitt scored short handed and unassisted in the second.  Spencer Greens hard low shots from the point were giving the boys some good chances on the rebounds but a hot Shallow Lake goalie was keeping them out.  Nesbitt again charged in through the forwards and put in the tying goal with 1:15 left to play in the third.  This was a hard fought battle and the team went home with a tie.
Friday night the team had a great practice and kicked back and enjoyed some cake for coach Boomers big #40 Birthday.  Happy Birthday from all the team and parents.  Keep up the good work!!
