PeeWees Down 1-0 to Seaforth
The Legion PeeWees dropped their first WOAA playoff game to Seaforth 3-2 on Jan. 7.

The team played a spirited game and led 2-1 late in the third.  Playing against both the Seaforth team and the referees, 2 late goals put the team down 1-0 in the best of 5 series.  Wingham won the flip for the series and will host the next 2 games on Jan. 10 & 12.  Game 4 will be played Jan. 14 in Seaforth with game 5 in Wingham Jan. 15 if necessary.
Colton Dunn scored a powerplay goal for Wingham to tie the score at 1 and then Cameron Hoskins banged in a nice setup by Ryan Gangl to put Wingham in the lead.
A powerplay goal by Seaforth with under 3 minutes left tied the game and shortly after they scored the winner even though the play should have been blown down when the Seaforth Captain punched a Wingham player in the head.  This deliberate type of head contact is supposed to result in a 4 minute penalty this year.
The team proved they play well against their opposition and just need to be a little more aggressive on the puck to move on in the WOAA playoffs.
