Atoms Post First Win
The Wingham Atom Rep team, sponsored by Foxton Fuels, got the season off to a good start, defeating Lucknow 9-1 at home on Oct. 16.
The team got off to a great start, leading 6-1 after the first period. There was no scoring in the second, with both teams having several good chances, but unable to get the puck over the line. Wingham rebounded in the third scoring 3 unanswered goals to ice the win.
The Atoms next game is Friday, Oct. 19 at 6:45 in Lucknow. Following that, the team travels to Zurich on the 20th for a 4:00 p.m. game and host Listowel AE on Oct. 23 at 6:15.
