U11 Yellow Has Championship Weekend
The Wingham U11 Yellow team had another successful
weekend, winning Gold at South Huron DQ Cup! They started the tournament
off strong on Friday, with a 6-2 victory against the Saugeen Shores
Storm. Their second game of the day was against
the Ilderton Jets Blue where they completed a 5-0 shutout win.
They played the Zurich Thunder on Saturday morning and came up short losing 4-3. They rebounded quickly in their game that afternoon against the Howick Hornets with a 6-0 win, punching their ticket to the finals. Sunday afternoon, they took to the ice against the undefeated Ilderton Jets Gold. Ilderton scored first but Wingham battled back and scored three goals to finish off the game, completing the victory! CHAMPIONS! The team played amazing all weekend and showed great sportsmanship! A great way to end the season!
