U13 Rep Have Strong Silver Stick Performance
The WMHA U13 Rep team fell just short of winning the Kincardine Silver Stick tournament on Feb. 13 dropping a close 6-5 game to Huron-Bruce Blizzard. (HB is the amalgamated Lucknow/Ripley hockey systems).
On the road to the finals Wingham downed South-Grey 6-2, followed up by shutouts of 4-0 and 5-0 against Shallow Lake and TCDMHA (Chatsworth). Those wins set up a Sunday morning semi-final against Blyth-Brussels with Wingham coming out on top 5-1. In the championship game WMHA came up a couple of goals short dropping the 6-5 decision. Congratulations to the U13 team on a great run and to Huron-Bruce on their win.
