Wingham-Lucknow PW Girls Win WOAA Maroon
Submitted By Dave Tiffin on Sunday, March 26, 2017
The Wingham-Lucknow team won the WOAA peewee C maroon division championship.  Hosted by Lucknow 4 teams - Lucknow-Wingham, Saugeen Shores, Grey Highlands and Kincardine participated. W-L beat kincardine 2-0 and G-H 4-0 on Saturday. This set up the final with S-S, their biggest rival this year.

This was the eighth meeting between the teams. Games have all been very close. W-L won 3-1 and was a rematch of the Young Canada week tourney in Goderich from two weeks ago when W-L girls took the gold medal in that one as well.  The W-L team is now headed to provincials in Toronto in a couple weeks.
