Silver Stick Donates to WMHA
Wingham Regional Silver Stick donates the proceeds from its 2015 Midget and Atom Tournaments to Wingham Minor Hockey. Accepting the donation is Mike Mulvey, Wingham Minor Hockey President from Grant Currie of the Wingham Regional Silver Stick committee. This was the 30th Anniversary of hosting a midget and atom silver stick in Wingham.
The tournaments are a tremendous fundraiser for Wingham Minor Hockey allowing them to offer free registration for all first time registrants. It also allows Wingham Minor Hockey to maintain one of the lowest registraiton fees in the area. The Wingham Silver Stick Tournaments have become a huge community event, with local businesses purchasing program ads and having promotions and events during both tournaments.
