The Wingham LL Midgets got off to a good start in Oct. with Mt Forest being their first game.
They played well with some great passing which helped them take the game. Goals scored by Merrick Smith Karson Bross Les Irvine with 2 Wyhatt McIlhargey andJackson Goodall, assists going to Tyler Pham Logan MacDonald Tyler Cronnin Josh Hoy Bross and McIlhargey, finishing the game with a 6-4 win.
They than went on to play Milverton good passing once again kept the boys in the game. Ian Thomas started the scoring unassisted, then he went on to put in another assisted by Irvine and Pham. Logan MacDonald popped in the next one assisted by McIlhargey. Pham kept it going assisted by Thomas, MacDonald with his second goal of game assisted by Irvine with a win 5-3.
The puck wasn’t following them when they went up against Blyth/Brussels. They just couldn’t keep the puck out of their end and took a tough loss 3-0. Only to come back and tie the next game with them 2-2. Goals going to Bross, assisted by Irvine and Thomas. Irvine assisted by Stuart Higgins.
Next game we played one of our tougher rivals BCH coming out with a win 3-2. Goals scored by McIlhargey, Irvine and Higgins. Assisted by Cronnin, Thomas and McIlhargey. Once again great passing and good goaltending by Austin Fitch.
Nov. 8 we played Mt. Forest and won 3-2. Great passing again kept the boys scoring by Pham, Smith MacDonald, assists by goaltender Sam Marston, Thomas, Reidy and Bross.
