The Foxton Fuels' Atom Reps laced up the skates again on January 7th and 8th, after a 3 week break. They played two exhibition games against BCH and Teeswater. While both games ended in a one goal loss, the Atom Reps continued to show their character by controlling the play in the second half of both games, especially dominating both 3rd periods and making their opposition work hard until the final buzzer.
In the first game against BCH, goals were scored by Brenden Gallaher unassisted, and by Hayden Robinson assisted by Gallaher. In the second game against Teeswater, Wingham goals were scored by Nigel Fitch with a nice shot over the goalie’s shoulder just under the crossbar, assisted by Gallaher and Leif Skelding. Skelding scored the second and final Wingham goal after a multiplayer rush down the ice with a last moment breakaway with Skelding depositing the puck in the net past a sprawling netminder.
Foxton Fuels' Atom Rep team enters the playoffs against Seaforth the beginning of January.
